The 2024 season saw some of the best fishing in our waters in the past 30 years. The DFO (Department of Fisheries) are predicting another Huge Salmon and Halibut year for the 2025 - it’s going to another gangbuster season. We are now taking reservations for 2025, so don’t miss out!
We are fishing from the fabulous Barkley Sound Lodge - only minutes from some of the most productive fishing waters on the entire West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. For the past 30 years, this area has been famous for its fabulous Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod, and Albacore Tuna fishing!
Our 2025 Fishing Season opens May 1st and runs until the end of October. We are offering 4 Night/ 5 Day and 3 Night/ 4 Day options for both our Halibut/Salmon Express and Saltwater Fly Fishing packages. We are also offering a Combo Halibut/Salmon/Fly Fishing package. All our 4 Night packages are from Sunday to Thursday, and our 3 Night packages are from Thursday to Sunday. If you have any questions please email us using our contact form.
Come and join us at the lodge for some fabulous fishing. Each comfortable room has two queen sized beds and a private bathroom. We serve complimentary wine or beer with your dinner at our licensed dining room. We can accommodate large groups too!

FLY-IN: We recommend you fly into Vancouver BC and book a flight to Tofino BC with Pacific Coastal Airlines. We will meet you at the Tofino Airport and transport you to the Lodge.
The flight from Vancouver to Tofino leaves from the South Terminal of Vancouver Airport at about 1:30 PM on your arrival day, so you will want your inbound flight to arrive into Vancouver as early as possible on your arrival day in order to allow enough time to get your flight to Tofino.
DRIVE-IN: For those of you that will be driving from the US we suggest driving up the I-5 to Blaine, Washington and crossing the border there. Once across the border, you then drive to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and take the ferry to Nanaimo (Duke Point).
From Nanaimo, proceed up the Inland Island Highway and take the turn-off to Port Alberni. It is about 1.25 hours. The lodge is about 90 minutes from Port Alberni.
From Port Alberni proceed on Highway 4 towards Ucluelet - we’ll meet you at the pick-up dock at Secret Beach Campground and take you to the lodge, a 10-minute boat ride. Don't forget to bring a 200 qt cooler!
