A little bit about us…
We started in the Sportfishing Business in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC in the Spring of 1982. We call those days the "Golden Days of Campbell River" because back then the fishing was as good as it gets and we enjoyed some wonderful years.
In the late 80's, we started to notice many of the Campbell River guides bringing in a lot of huge salmon from the Nootka Sound / Port Eliza / Zeballos area. Zeballos is about 90 miles due West of Campbell River, on the Pacific Ocean side of Vancouver Island. We sent a couple of our top guides over to find out exactly where these monster salmon were coming from!
As it turned out, all the reports that we had been getting about the fishing in Nootka Sound / Port Eliza / Zeballos waters were true. On the spot, we decided that we had to get over there PDQ....pretty damn quick.
In the spring of 1994 we bought an abandoned fish farm and converted it into a fishing lodge. This was one of the best decisions we ever made as it quickly grew into the busiest fishing lodge on Vancouver Island.
Fishing with us on the West Side of the Island is for the fisherman who is looking for a once-in-a-lifetime fishing adventure with some of the "Top Guides" in the business!
For the 2025 Season, you will be fishing with us from our base at the Barkley Sound Lodge - great fishing, great accommodations, and great dining.
